So How Many People Are Gonna Be In YOUR House For The Holidays?

Recommended Posts

...and how long will they be staying?

Is it a good or a not-so-good thing? :)

Edit: I guess I forgot to answer my own question. We will have 11 in our house for about 2 1/2 weeks: 5 of us, family of 5 in-laws (sis-in-law and her family) for maybe 3 weeks, brother-in-law for 2 1/2 weeks, and 5 more on Christmas day only.

And I'm bummed because I don't know when I'll get to see all of my family. [:/] BUT...I will be heavily liquored up for about 3 weeks, so if anyone wants to ask me anything outrageous, December would be the time to do it. I am hoping to black out the whole month. B|:D

My ideal christmas would be just my husband, kids and I in somewhere tropical...

Funny, complete opposite here.... It's been so long since I've spent Christmas with my Family (the whole clan together - maybe 1982), I'd rather have everyone together again in Utah (miss having a white Christmas too). :D

I think most people know by now that I'll be in Thailand. :)

I'm so jealous! Why didn't I go do cool stuff when I was still single?! >:(

Prolly 'cause I wasn't single for long enough to do cool stuff. :P Oh well, my bad...

I hope you have a BLAST! Take some great photos! Don't drink the water! Don't pay for any hookers (I just heard that hookers are kinda dangerous over there.)

Just me. Not heading back to Virginia for the first time ever ... just did NOT want to deal with another freakin' cross-country trip that takes all day because my parents live in the sticks.

Christmas weekend will be spent in Seattle with lots of books and DVDs and Christmas music and a beautiful Christmas tree. I might even make myself something fancy-schmancy for dinner. B|

My immediate family lives in the area. We all mosey over to my parent's house on Christmas Eve and open presents. I'm not sure yet if relatives will be coming over, so we'll have anywhere between 15-25 people there.

Right now, it looks like we'll have 5-7. Perfect and intimate amount. :)

I'm counting 12.

My folks, my wife's two sets of folks and 2 step siblings, and her best friend along with myself, my wife and baby.

It could get interesting though, cuz my wife's two sets of folks don't know the others are coming and they have not been on good terms. Her mom won't come if she knows her ex-husband is here. I thought my wife was crazy, but it is our baby's first Christmas, so we hope we can use that to keep everyone under control...

Wish me luck! :S

Last year we went up for my grandfather's 90th birthday. My parents live in the sticks too. I told them we were staying in a hotel and would rent a car if needed. I just didn't want to spend the enire weekend (we were there for about 36 hours) in the car.

My entire family joined me. My brother and his wife and kid got a room. My sister and her 3 kids and husband got a room. We had a room. My parents had a room. We got them all together. We kept the doors open and wandered around. Played cards Swam in the pool. Stayed up late. It was the best time ever!
