well even if I had decided to stick around work through the holidays where i wouldn't be coming in much anyways I had some use or lose leave days so I had to take them. I guess never taking leave starts to work against you huh:P

Right on bro, can't wait to get to my next DS so I can take some mad leave and a skydiving trip....that won't be until May though. :S

Where ya heading..or dont you know yet? I would reccommend wither cali or florida if you are serious about skydiving. The DZ's never close down..unless the weather is REALLY bad....but yeah..two best states to jump in all year round.

I will be working 26 of the next 30. It's not too bad though...our rotation won't be here too much longer, then I'll get two weeks con leave when I get back. Think 30 degrees is too cold to jump? hehe

It all depends. As long as they do not try to force you into selling it back. Then you get screwed.
.

You can only sell leave when you reenlist and retire. Each time you are limited to selling 30 days, further for a max total of 60.

Gee whiz, the Navy land based guys work one week per month. The Coast Guard let you take a one hour PT break from a measly 12 hour watch shift...

...you guys have it so bad. :P Makes me wonder how the SeaBees that were in Ramadi with my Army unit adjusted to doing all that real work...:o:):P:D

CHoose the rate choose the fate...and not everyone has an entire navy career of easy shit. I did three deployments in a 4 year term...not having a social life...so yeah...thats my defense.
