I guess my last paragraph wasn't specific enough. QuoteSo if you think that you like one specific type of coffee be aware that there are actually more flavors out there than most are aware of.If you ever travel to a coffee producing country, make sure you talk to the locals and ask about and try the different flavor beans that are out there, you just might be pleasantly surprised by what you taste and later appalled by what you previously considered a good cup of coffee. wildblue 7 #30 December 13, 2006 QuoteWhere do you obtain unroasted beans? It's already been mentioned, but Sweet Maria's is freakin' awesome. Their website is a little tricky to get around, but the guy actually reviews every green coffee they sell. I actually just placed an order with them a few days ago. They have everything you need (and tons of information) from green coffee to roasters to grinders to french press/drip/vacuum brewers. For about $160, you can pick up the Zach & Dani's roaster - it's not fancy or powerful, but it'll give you a good idea if home roasting is for you without shelling out $5-600 for something a little more serious. It also has a really nice catalytic converter that gets rid of most of the smoke so you don't have to worry too much about roasting indoors.it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
