adventurechick 0 #1 December 15, 2006 Yeah, I definitely have missed this place. I may not be allowed to skydive when I'm home, but I'm going caving (spelunking) all day on sunday!! I guess if I can't be above the ground, I'll go under it! Is anyone in or near nashville? You're more than welcome to come! Thanatos340 1 #2 December 15, 2006 Where you going Caving?? Which Cave? I know the TAG caves real well. Used to to be really big into spelunking. I used to mainly do Vertical Work and Pits (Cagles Casm, Neversink, Ellison’s). The Roaming DZ is actually putting together a Caving Trip in January sometime. Probably going tp Petty Johns in Lafayette. Attached a pic of Fantastic Pit in Ellison’s.

Thanatos340 1 #4 December 15, 2006 Most of my caving Pics are before digital Cameras (or atleast before I had one). Have some even cooler than that but have to get out a scanner to get them.

jumpchikk 0 #6 December 15, 2006 That is really cool. I did not realize that you used to be into caving like that. Why didn't you show me your caving pics instead of the movie where you made your Hollywood debut??
Thanatos340 1 #7 December 15, 2006 Yep. Bring Knee pads!! You will need then. Are going with someone that knows the cave?
ImGunnaJump 0 #8 December 15, 2006 I admire your nerve...I wouldn't be good at the caving thing unless they are large caves, which most are not from what I've seen on Discovery, etc. I actually get a little claustrophobic-panic just watching some of the tight squeezes cavers wiggle through on t.v., and underwater caving...forget it. You have lots of fun and be safe!"...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." I'm going with an old guy friend from high school... and neither of us have been there before, and we heard it's hard to find. But that's what makes it an adventure!! jumpchikk 0 #16 December 16, 2006 I think it would be awesome to go caving with you guys. Can I offer some input on when?? It seems when you guys plan something, I've got prior engagements...so, if you are talking sometime in January...please don't do it the second weekend, I will be in Orlando cheering my sister in law on in a marathon...so, any other time would be cool. Gail, have fun, be safe and make sure that other people know where you are going.

popsjumper 2 #23 December 16, 2006 ONly been spelunking twice...both times we took the Cub Scouts to soem place in Tennessee (can't remember the name. There was a section that was quite tight and before you could go through it you had to prove you could fit through the mile-long section by squeezing yourself through a wooden box about 24 inches wide by about 18 inces tall...no fit, no go. All the boys fit and only two of us Dads fit. We had a blast. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
