Vallerina 2 #1 December 17, 2006 Since I have a summer "home" now, I want to make it a wee bit more comfortable over the winter. I'm replacing the ceiling, putting new linoleum on the floor, and I want to replace the couch/bed cushions. I was hoping my Futon mattress would work, but (to show the size of my mansion) it's too big. So...all of this being said, where can I get cheap foam to make new cushions with? Are there any other tips for making a trailer more comfortable (besides repainting one of the walls with chalkboard paint)? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

freeflir29 0 #4 December 17, 2006 After you get done with yours mine could use some tidying up as well. I'm sure there are at least 4 million craft stores in Chicago that would carry everything you need. I want to redo my palace in purple carpet and Zebra paint for the walls. Maybe some cheetah couch cushions.

ltdiver 3 #7 December 17, 2006 Val, I got the foam for my dz trailer at an upholstery shop. They had to special order it because of the odd size I needed to fit in the trailer (83" x 47" x 6" ). Make sure you get the right density, too. Tell the upholstery shop what you'll be using it for and they'll steer you right. Happy fixing! Lotsa fun. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

jumper03 0 #12 December 18, 2006 Nice, post pics if you can. I'm about to redo my trailer but I live here so it's a bit different I guess... I'm going to put the Pergo hard wood floor where I have tile, new carpet, tankless water heater and install a battery rack for the solar system over the winter/spring. Should keep me busy. I thought I could do the same, but failed to find any that fit the description. If you have better luck let us know.
