SpeedRacer 1 #26 December 19, 2006 I've seen these diet fads come & go. I remember about 15 or 20 years ago there was the "Fit For Life" diet plan: you only eat fruit before noon. After that, do not combine high-protein foods with high carb foods. supposedly your stomach can't digest proteins & carbs if eaten in the same meal, and they'd just sit in your stomach & rot for days or something. completely incorrect, of course. The truth is that being healthy has a few simple, but boring rules to it. The gimmicky fad diets that come & go every few years are just bullshit. Darius11 12 #29 December 19, 2006 Yep I am with you on this one Lawrocket. A-. There is nothing tastier then a grilled marinated Ribeye steak, and a good glass of red wine, and I am not giving up the pleasure of my favorite food so I can live an extra month eating tofu. Oh yea Dave as a Texas man you should be ashamed of your self for talking about any diet that does not allow meat to anyone. VERY DISAPOINTEDI'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Lindercles 0 #32 December 19, 2006 QuoteI'll bet I could publish a book that said you should eat certain foods based on your zodiac sign, and it would probably sell like hotcakes. I'll take that bet. The bet is five jump tickets, and I'll even give you a whole year to do it. On top of that, if you do sell a bunch of books, I'll let you buy me a bunch of beer to celebrate your success. AggieDave 6 #33 December 19, 2006 Quote Did you post this after watching Samuel L. Jackson tonight on Leno? Just curious, as this was the first time I had heard of this eating for your blood type. Yup and it was the first for me. So I spent some time cruising around the 'net reading what I could about it. Atleast, since I'm 0-, I'm supposed to eat red meat.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

masterrig 1 #36 December 19, 2006 I wonder, about these various diets and diet 'fads'. Growing-up, I was told to eat in moderation. That meant, to be sure to eat 'well rounded'. Veggies, red-meat, fresh fish, potatoes and etc. My Grandad ate that way all his life and lived to be 99. With him though, I think the secret to his longevity was 'two fingers' of Jack Daniels he had every evening after supper! Chuck
