Copycat 0 #1 December 19, 2006 I submitted the scam alert as "almost" sure because I've seen the pics before with the same description, but this time without the ebay photo icon on the pics, so I thought it might be the real owner. I just received an email that he's in london, and will just accept payment thru western union. Please report it as scam ASAP! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/detail_page.cgi?ID=43022&d=
peregrinerose 0 #2 December 19, 2006 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/detail_page.cgi?ID=42401&d=1 The above is also a scam. I hit the scam button and reported it, offered to forward all corresponding emails regarding the transaction, but it was never listed as a scam in the classifieds. This was on ebay using a hijacked ebay user name (confirmed both with ebay and the actual user), then tried to get me to pay via western union through a bogus 'ebay' site (confirmed as a fraud by ebay). The user said it was custom made for him in Italy, Mirage, however, told me that it was made for a US buyer. I have since bought a complete rig through the classifieds for my husband from a hell of a great guy who I'd do business with again in a heartbeat. Mostly because he sent me pictures of the rig modelled by a scantilly clothed attractive man Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
Copycat 0 #3 December 19, 2006 I DID submit that one as a scam as well, but it's still there I see. Mainly because I live in Italy, and he is definitely not a skydiver, and that's no italian ZIP code. I have as well bought a rig a month ago from probably the greatest seller ever, very supportive and caring. Thanks again, Dan. I asked him if he would be willing to send the rig to my DZO for inspection and more to make sure it is not a scam. He told me he was on his way to the UK and would ship from there but he wanted half of the money up front via western union. The biggest reason I belive this is a scam is because the price is WAY to low for all of this gear. I'm down to take it off his hands for $1900 but I doubt he has this gear for sale, just nice pics and an ad to con people out of their hard earned money.
