moodyskydiver 0 #1 December 20, 2006 I had to ru up to my family's place unexpectedly and after I came home my cat expressed her displeasure by peeing on my suitcase. Its just a big, oversized cordura duffle bag but it has a pull-out handle and wheels.B/c of the hard wheels and bottom casing where the handle slides in/out the bottom is completely rigid and flat and cant be folded to fit in a washer or dryer..even the big commercial ones at washaterias. I've hosed it down wih a water hose and let it hang dry and I've Febreezed the shit out of it 3 times and it still stinks.I dont want to use it again until I'm sure its completely clean b/c I dont want to put clothes in it and then take them out smelling like cat pee b/c thats just gross. So anyone have any cleaning suggestions? (other than killing the cat..already considered that and ruled it out) "...just an earthbound misfit, I." AggieDave 6 #2 December 20, 2006 Google around, there are products to neutralize cat pee. I've had to use it before since one of our cats decided that my Timbuk2 messenger bag was the perfect place to pee again and again and again... It went through the washer about 10 times with no improvement...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
bazelos 0 #3 December 20, 2006 Cats just do that, but a dog won't. So just put the cat in the luggage, toss the luggage in the sea (or a river, or even a lake, whatever you have close by) and then go get yourself a German shepheard. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Ricky_8_weeks_old_-_June_2004_025.jpg How can you say no to thins fella? He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man. SkydiveStMarys 0 #5 December 20, 2006 Personally....I would just buy another one....long trips via car (think...hot sun) or airplane could really do a number on your clothes and then your really S.O.L. There is no getting rid of that odor! BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.
popsjumper 2 #6 December 20, 2006 Bobbi's got an idea...I can add to it. What you do is take a nice flight somewhere and check it in (empty of course) with a fake name tag on it. At your destination, just don't pick it up...the airline will "handle" it. Then head off and buy yourself a new one. Forget German Shephards...get yourself a Gator. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
moodyskydiver 0 #7 December 20, 2006 Well, we have 1 boston terrier and 5 cats so tossing just that one wouldnt help.Plus I think my hubby would get pissed if I tossed his cat. I'd love to have a German Shepard but our apt complex wont allow it.They say they are "mean dogs" b/c they can be trained for attack purposes.(but the 'courtesy officer' is allowed to have his GS b/c hes also a K-9 cop, gotta love those double standards)Not allowed to have GS or boxers,or rotweilers..but they dont mind dobermans or pits wtf? But anywho, they suck.I've already said if and when we get a house with a nice yard we're getting a boxer and a german shepard. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
