What is it about Firefox --

--- that doesn't display pictures and thumbnails in certain messages when I'm in Yahoo-mail?? There's nothing in the options readily apparent to me that I'm missing...but I think I'm missing something. Ideas?

The problem is not Firefox, it's the fact that you're using Yahoo mail. :|

You can poo on Yahoo mail all you want, I love it compared to every other web-mail service out there. As I've not seen it be an issue if browsing with IE or on a friend's computer using Opera. I've only noticed it with Firefox. If it's not the browser, then it's not the browser...

Okay, maybe it is Firefox. As much as I love it, it has it's problems. :|

That said, have you tried gmail? I'd be glad to send you an invite if you haven't.

I've heard great things about it, but I've got my perfect addresses with Yahoo, plenty of space, and the spam filter is a super champ. I'm tied at this point. Thanks though!

In Tools/Options/Content there are settings for loading images. Uncheck "from originating web site only" Some email images are not part of the mail file, but get downloaded separately, and would not come from the originating website (Yahoomail). Also play with the popups setting. Next try the java settings, in case Ymail uses java. If you have Adblock or a similar extension installed, it could also be blocking stuff. Whatever "allow" selections you make, try to restrict them to Yahoo or you will lose some of the crap-blocking benefits of FF on other sites.
