skybytch 273 #1 December 22, 2006 An 18 year old Glenmorangie scotch. A 12 year old Glenmorangie Port Wood scotch. A 15 year old Signatory Vintage Islay scotch. A 12 year old Macallan scotch. An 18 year old Elijah Craig single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. A Blanton's single barrel bourbon whiskey (awesome bottle and cork). A couple bottles of Jack Daniels single barrel whiskey. A couple bottles of plain old everyday Jack. A 12 year old Chivas Regal scotch. A big bottle of the Captain. An almost empty bottle of Smirnoff citrus vodka. It's nice to have an active rigger for an s/o - most of those bottles are from saves. Just looking at it all makes me tipsy. At home, I have several bottles of Cab (Smoking Loon), a bottle of Captain Morgan rum, 1/2 bottle of Sauza Tequila. Nothing too darned exciting... AggieDave 6 #13 December 22, 2006 QuoteIt's time for you to expand your horizons, Dave. Nope. I used to have a well stocked and widely assorted liquor cabinet. I could make all sorts of different drinks. Margaritas, martinis, all sorts of different shots. Then one day I realized something. I don't enjoy those drinks that much, atleast not as much as I enjoy Jack Daniels. So when I used the other stuff up I didn't buy anymore. skybytch 273 #14 December 22, 2006 QuoteIts not a case of being unclassy in choice, its knowing what my choice is from trying. There's nothing unclassy about Jack Daniels imho; it's my s/o's drink of choice. But have you tried a really good scotch yet? I don't particularly like whiskey but I truly enjoy sipping some fine scotch on occasion. And I'm as classless as they come.
AggieDave 6 #15 December 22, 2006 QuoteBut have you tried a really good scotch yet? Yup. Even out of a multi-hundred bottle of scotch. Thought it was "ok" but I'd rather have JD. Trust me, I've tried just about everything out there for what would be considered "normal" drinks. I've even had some not normal drinks.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

BillyVance 34 #21 December 22, 2006 QuoteYou mean people actually store liquor and don't drink it all? Well of course, some liquor aren't meant to be chugged or downed at once. ChasingBlueSky 0 #22 December 22, 2006 Three cases of beer with about 4 inches of dust on them....left over from my friends bachelor party. Sad to say the beer lasted longer than the marriage. Also goes to show just how much I don't drink these days :p edit: now that I think about it, all the booze in my house is left over from parties I have. I have a few bottles of to-kill-ya, whiskey (the gooooood stuff), everclear, etc. Just never motivated to drink it. I will pick up a case of Pilsner Urguel every other month and drink one during a sports game._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
