I absolutely LOVE apples and cinnamon anything...try this..if you like the same 2 apples, peeled and sliced, 2 Tbsps butter, 8 oz grated cheddar cheese(or whatever cheese you like), 1 unbaked 10-inch pastry shell, 1 Tbsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 4 large eggs, 1 1/2 cups whipping cream Sauté apples in butter for 5 minutes. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apples. Layer apples in pastry shell. Sprinkle cheese over apple mixture. In medium size bowl, lightly whisk together the eggs and whipping cream. Pour over the apple/cheese mixture. Bake in a preheated 375 oven for 35 minutes or until set. You dont have to but when i make this i make my homemade french toast too...i think they go great together..if you need a good recipe for that let me know and ill shoot it to ya. enjoy "Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! Shotgun 1 #11 December 24, 2006 We make quiche a lot, just using whatever we have, but the basic recipe is: 6 eggs 1 cup of lowfat (2%) milk 1 cup of cheese 2 cups of filling (veggies and/or meat - We usually at least put tomatoes and sauteed onions in it, and whatever else - cooked chicken, broccoli, asparagus, etc.) salt and pepper to taste nutmeg pie crust Beat the eggs, milk, salt & pepper together. Put the cheese and other filling in an unbaked pie crust, and then pour the egg mixture on top of it. Sprinkle a bit of nutmeg on top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
