slotperfect 7 #1 December 25, 2006 Goodbye to the Godfather of Soul. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,238718,00.html The film of his performance in the T.A.M.I. Show in 1965 is my favorite. I loved him as the preacher in The Blues Brothers as well.Arrive Safely John

murrays 0 #5 December 25, 2006 Sad news for a Christmas morning, that's for sure. JB was awesome! I am so glad that I saw him 2 years ago in Saskatoon, the day before he went in for prostate cancer surgery. It was one of the best concerts ever.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

murps2000 86 #12 December 25, 2006 This truly sucks but I knew had to happen sometime. Glad I got to see him back in '93. It's ironic. I listened to James all day at work on my birthday last week. RIP Godfather. Thanks for bringing some soul into this white boy's life.
