mnealtx 0 #26 February 6, 2007 QuoteI really like my Mamba, comfortable and light. However I do have problems keeping the visor clear. Any recomendations for cleaning? Whatever I use makes the visor sticky and opaque! I've just used a normal lens cleaning cloth (not the silicone impregnated stuff)... seems to work ok...Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. DustyP 0 #27 April 8, 2009 When I first got my Mamba I thought it was the best thing ever, but...now.... I think it looks cooler than it functions. The lining is falling apart, very shottie lining, nothing from keeping the lining from unraveling around the mouth piece. The shield Crazes something Crazy and just overall I think it was overpriced for the quality. I have about 30 jumps on it and already having to replace the lens. I'll prolly go Gath next time. As for all the haters that love it, I'll be right here! .
mnealtx 0 #28 April 9, 2009 Any faceshield will craze - one nice thing about the mamba is that it's very easy to replace the faceshield. $2 worth of thin plexiglass and you can replace it yourself. As for the lining, I've not had any problems with mine, but I'm not constantly fiddling with it, either. I imagine it wouldn't be hard to gorilla glue the lining back onto the padding, though.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
