Bulldogbreeds.com might be of some help. I see there are forums in which you could probably ask specific questions. My girls are the first two breeds listed, an English Bulldog and a Boxer. To be honest, I didn't even know there was such a thing as an American Bulldog. Other than English, all I knew about was French and Olde English. Looking at the pictures, it reminds me more of a Staffordshire or one of the pit breeds, and the demeanor sounds closer too (athletic and very protective). Outside of that, I got nothing.

I had/have a Boxer she still lives with my parent since she's a member of the family. She is such a great dog very friendly and not a bad bone in her body. She does have a bad case of separation anxiety and it does get annoying but i cant help but love her.

Ive been thinking about getting another dog and it seems like a good choice. I like the protection aspect of breed.

Boxers are great dogs to have. A lot of energy though. I had a male fawn. Bulldogs and Boxers are great together as long as you raise them together. Both can become territorial if not. But FYI...if you think its a wreck when you return home, wait until you have a bulldog there as well. :S:P Good luck!!
If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!

According to the description of the Boxer, white markings are allowed but not more than 1/3 of the coat. Hmmm ... guess mine ain't a Boxer after all since he's all white!

You know Herc is still a Boxer. The fact that he can't be registered with AKC doesn't mean he can't be certified by them as a canine good citizen, and the fact that he can't be shown doesn't mean he can't do obedience or agility. Most importantly, the facts that he shouldn't be bred and might have more health problems don't make him any less of a silly, slobbery, loving friend...even if my Ally would have figured that candy cane out on her own (her mom was white, so she's in the same boat). :D

And yes, of course I know you knew all that. :P:D

So what the heck is he then?

As Dave says, a silly, slobbering, loving friend!

Yes, he's still a Boxer even if the AKC doesn't recognize white Boxers (apparently, breeders used to kill the white ones because they couldn't be shown or bred -- stupid people!!!).

He's my little white cat and I'm glad I have him!

And Dave, Herc figured out the candy cane! But only when I told him he could have it. And he only ate the green parts. Guess he has some taste!
