mailin 0 #1 January 4, 2007 Someone just told me that they always tip the gal/guy that brings your order to your car. I had no idea you had to do that... Do you tip in fast food? JenArianna Frances
stitch 0 #2 January 4, 2007 Some people just have more money than they know what to do with. "No cookies for you"- GFD "I don't think I like the sound of that" ~ MB65 Don't be a "Racer Hater"
kris2extreme 0 #3 January 4, 2007 I don't. Alot of people seem to do it because they bring the food out to you. I generally reserve tipping for people who are actually working on a waiter-wages (here it is ~$2.13/hr) and are truly working for their tips. Sonic employees make minimum wage or better... if they want more money, get a different job.
skycat 0 #4 January 4, 2007 I don't tip exactly, it's more of a since I'm in my car and don't want to bother with some coin change I may tell them to keep the change but it's not more than maybe 10-15 cents.Fly it like you stole it!
mailin 0 #5 January 4, 2007 Thats my thought to. Would you tip a McDs employee? Then why would you tip Sonic -they do the same work and get the same pay. Plus, they knew taking the order out to the car was a job requirement prior to working there (or at least I would hope so!), so if you don't like it, don't work there - and certainly don't expect a 'tip' for it. Jen ...I got your tip right here...Arianna Frances
rickjump1 0 #6 January 4, 2007 Maybe I'm wrong, but somebody working at Sonic is at the end of their rope and considered the "working poor" so I tip when I can.Do your part for global warming: ban beans and hold all popcorn farts.
jtval 0 #7 January 4, 2007 I don'tgo to sonic, but if go to a fast food place I don't tip. It'slike tipping the clerk at 7-11 And I tip for the service. If the service suck, than so does the tip. I USED to feel guilty about leaving a poor tip. But I learned to dislike a shitty waiter/ waitress. Having been a waiter a ta wedding hall before I know how ridiculous the customers can be so I try to make it easy for them but in the event they forget about my main dish after my third time asking and 30 minutes AFTER everyone else at my table is FINISHED eating their main meal. I leave a tip.... It was a note that "Next time, said don't forget about me and you'll get a tip." I even suggested that the rest of the table not leave a tip since their service was substandard, too. EDIT on the other side. I once tipped a pizza delivery guy $50 because he was very quick had a great attitude and after ward he offered me the extra pizza that the previous ordered did not buy. This was a pizza place that I had dealt with on a semi regular basis back in the day. He was a regular delivery guy. I tipped him $50 on three pizzas. willard 0 #8 January 4, 2007 On the rare occasions I go into a McD's or similar I have never tipped, inside or at the drive thru. I do go to a drive-in for coneys, like an A&W. In fact, it used to be an A&W. I tip the girls who come out to take my order and bring it to my car, rain or shine. Usually a buck or two, that's about it since they make a little over minimum. The tip just gets me faster service when I go and an occasional free rootbeer float
 d_squared431 0 #9 January 4, 2007 no,never ...should I?TPM Sister#130ONTIG#1 I love vodka.I love vodka cause it rhymes with Tuaca~LisaH You having a clean thought is like billyvance having a clean post.iluvtofly
 BillyVance 35 #10 January 4, 2007 QuoteI don't.
