ifall 0 #1 January 5, 2007 So I have had two people who I beleive are wanting to interview me for a position in Dayton. I haven't called back yet because they called me at work and I've been swamped but am considering interviewing with them to see what they have to offer. My friend who works for them had been hounding me to get him a resume because they really need someone. The pluses would be about $15,000 to $20,000 pay increase to what I am making now (maybe I can start skydiving again then) and its closer to the dz. My questions are, how are the living costs in the area? Is it easy to find housing quick? After checking out their website it seems like they want to get someone in there fast. Thanks guys/gals. Icon134 0 #2 January 5, 2007 Are you comming from Cincinnati? There are areas around dayton that are more expensive and areas that are less expensive. with an additional $15,000/year you are probably looking at about $900 more per month... you can probably get a nice two bedroom apartment for $700-900/month... A one bedroom would probably be closer to $500-600 dollars. You might even be better off looking at buying a smallish house. I know of a few people (at least) that are trying to sell but not having very much luck... I haven't looked reciently... but I might look here in the near future...Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
ifall 0 #3 January 5, 2007 Yep, coming from Cinci. I'm paying 2.1% in city taxes here along with taxes from Lawrenceburg IN where I work so it may level out pretty well. That doesn't sound too bad. I have been wanting to buy a house closer to where I work now anyway but I have too many toys I am paying for so this could possibly be a good opportunity. Thanks for the info.
