Muenkel 0 #1 January 4, 2007 ....well, I don't actually know what I will do, but it won't be pretty. Here in the the northeast there is no winter. We've had no measurable snow...zip...nada. We're running 20-30 degrees above normal. Ski resorts are crying and whining. Anyway, I personally hate winter. I just have this sinking feeling the jet stream will move and we'll get pounded on in April or May. mamajumps 0 #6 January 4, 2007 I was just thinking the same thing as I was driving back from the bank this afternoon. Its 78 outside here. Granted, I live in Florida and live here for a reason, but you can usually count on Jan and Feb being our "winter" months. I wouldnt mind some cooler weather right now. It was 83 here yesterday.... skymama 37 #7 January 4, 2007 I'm going to be the biggest bitch next summer if I don't get some damn winter here in FL. Twelve months of heat is too much to take! I bought the ingredients to make homemade chicken noodle soup, thinking that it is January and it would warm us up. I'm going to have to turn the A/C down so we don't sweat when we're eating it tonight! Jewels 0 #8 January 4, 2007 You guys are welcome to a little bit of OUR winter! After our two blizzards in the space of a week, they say we're getting more snow (only 3-6 inches this time) tomorrow. I love Colorado and so it's not a serious complaint--but Florida sounds pretty okay right about now! Just so there's no more shoveling for a while. . . .TPM Sister #

Whenever the northwest gets pounded by storms that stack like airplanes on a tarmac, the east tends to have a mild winter. It's because the jet stream shoots up to Canada bringing our weather up from the Atlantic...thus the mild climate right now. As you can see the thing I don't want to happen is for the jet stream to drop down toward late winter. Then we get that nasty Canadian shit.
