Jason42 0 #1 January 17, 2007 I just got a $2200 pay off from my car insurance company for a wrecked car and am possibly in the market for my first rig. I am looking for something freefly friendly, with a cypres, 210 main and comparable reserve. I weigh around 175 lbs give or take and am about 5'10" tall. Is it possible to find something like this in the $2000-$2500 price range or should I just wait a few months until I can save a little more and then start looking? One option I was looking at was getting a new container and then getting the canopies and AAD seperatly figuring by the time the container got to me I would have saved enough to pick up the rest but if I can find something reasonable that will fit me I'm all for it. I've been looking on the classifieds here daily and ebay as well but I'm really wary about dealing with Ebay. I would rather deal with somebody one on one. Any ideas, suggestions? Thanks. Unstable 9 #2 January 17, 2007 I think for a first rig - 2,000-2,500 bucks should be enough - My advise would be to first ask your local riggers if they know anybody who is trying to sell their old gear - you would be amazed who might know who through the grapevine.=========Shaun ==========
JerryBaumchen 1,451 #3 January 17, 2007 Hi Jason42, PD lists used canopies on their website. I am very sure that they would not try to scam you on the condition. Take a look, Jerry

You won't be getting a top of the line Mirage G4, but you can get something pretty decent for that amount. You'll likely end up with a cypres that has a few years left on it, something like a larger Raven reserve and a main like a Pilot with 500 jumps on it or so. Elisha 1 #5 January 17, 2007 My raven's days are numbered...whohoo! Ankie said my new container should arrive in just a couple of weeks and will have a PDR-126 waiting for it.
