BillyVance 35 #1 January 10, 2007 Going to fly with my wife and baby soon in the states. Anyone know where I can find the latest rules on the above thread title?"Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
guppie01 0 #2 January 10, 2007 Hey Billy, From the FAA website http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm#10 Also check on the particular airline website you are flying with - it should mirror, but double checking will never hurt. Have fun! g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" Raddest Ho this side of Jersey #1 - MISS YOU OMG, is she okay? BillyVance 35 #3 January 10, 2007 Thanks! I was looking up the other sections on that page, especially the martial arts weapons section and other stuff... damn, they sure don't allow us to have any fun! Lindercles 0 #4 January 10, 2007 Since Billy got his question answered, I'll take this opportunity to ask a different, but related question. So the regs say that you can only take liquids in containers of 3 ounces or smaller, and that the sum total of your containers must fit into a quart size zip lock bag. So can you take several 3 oz bottles containing the same liquid? If so, how does that increase security?
guppie01 0 #5 January 10, 2007 When I flew to China my zip lock bag was maxed (barely closed).... I got a talking to that it should not be stuffed completely and that it should only contain a few bottles - I was able to slide because it was one ziplock for 2 people. If the security feels it's excessive, they will throw it away (check out the bins below the checkpoint areas - someone is getting alot of free product!) g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" LisaM 0 #6 January 10, 2007 Yeah when we fly to a martial arts competition, we all put our staffs in a friend's container to go there. No carrying on those suckers! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

When we flew back from Vegas a couple weeks ago, they confiscated bottles that did not have any markings on them that were less than 3oz. My wife had some makeup remover in one of those clear plastic bottles you buy at the drug store and they took it cause they couldn't identify it. If we were to do it again, I'd buy the trial size of shampoo/lotion, then wash it out and use it for our own shampoo/soap/cleanser, etc.... They don't inspect the contents of the bottle, just the label and size. Taking 3 bottles of the same type shouldn't be a problem. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! mailin 0 #10 January 11, 2007 Good luck with that Billy... TSA made me dump 7 full bottles of milk for my baby when on a business trip a few months ago... it took me 4 days to pump that much and I was in tears JenArianna Frances
