ACMESkydiver 0 #26 January 11, 2007 New update...we drove up the snowy mountain in the truck and he started the car (he didn't use any wipers, heater, or lights) and it ran and he drove it home. They drove it down to Schuck's to test the alternator. Man I hope that's it and nothing more. The belt issue looks like a non-issue. Phil checked it when they were up there. Thanks all. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

marks 0 #28 January 11, 2007 Quotethe ufo thing or the battery swap thing? Why would swapping batteries fry computer components. I'm guessing because the battery still runs the low draw stuff so I guess there is a connection that can surge and pop things. (shows you the last time I had car problems) I am not 100% sure, but I work on the cutting edge of auto technology every day, and this is something that I have just recently seen to happen. I have even expressed it to some of the nissan engineers just the other day. It may just be car specific. but I have changed my habits to adapt. when I spoke to the engineers, I was told this is also a newer problem from some other manufacturers also.
