swedishcelt 0 #6 January 15, 2007 See that is what I need. I was so motivated before Christmas then after a bout of the flu and strep. I can't bring myself to do it. It's only been a week off but so hard...
NWFlyer 2 #7 January 15, 2007 I hear y'all. I've been really good about going to the gym so far this year (it was my new year's resolution, after all). If I don't feel like going, I tell myself I'll at least go and do *something.* Usually once I get there ... I end up doing my full workout. Another trick I did when I used to work at an office... when I came home from work, I'd change immediately into my gym clothes. I didn't necessarily go right away, but eventually I'd say "well, I'm dressed for it I might as well go.""There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
karenmeal 0 #8 January 15, 2007 My best motivation right now is thinking about LP and how I want to be back to my optimal freeflying weight. Not to mention I want to be roaming around the boogie in my freefly pants and a bikini. NWFlyer 2 #9 January 15, 2007 I have an LP-related goal, too ... I want to be back into my Bev suit, comfortably (not sucking it all in and struggling to zip it). Hopefully earlier, but by LP at the absolute latest."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. NWFlyer 2 #11 January 15, 2007 QuoteYou're so right, getting dressed now! Yaaaaay! I did my full workout yesterday, but I'm going to go down there tonight and do some cardio. Or, if it warms up enough (it's 22 right now) I'll go out for a long walk later today."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. sweetmoose 0 #13 January 15, 2007 QuoteI need some motivation to get my ass to the gym. ?? I hadn't been to the gym in like 2 or 3 years. Awhile ago I was looking through some old pics from highschool and college, back when I was in shape like 6 years ago, and that got me motivated, plus there's this girl I kinda want to impress, so those are two of my motivations. We die only once, but for such a very long time. guppie01 0 #15 January 15, 2007 QuoteNot to mention I want to be roaming around the boogie in my freefly pants and a bikini. Wow, if I made that kind of goal.... that's 28 lbs for me.... I could fit into my FireFly suit - I'd shit my pants. hmmmm, something serious to think about. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" karenmeal 0 #16 January 15, 2007 You've got 6 months.. Why not start planning for that? I just started food journaling about a week and a half ago and I've already lost some weight. I'm not aiming to have abs of steel or anything.. I mostly just want to lose the bit of weight that I gained after surgery. karenmeal 0 #20 January 15, 2007 No.. it doesn't work that way. I can put on a baggy jumpsuit but then I fly shitty. If I'm thin and have on a tight jumpsuit then I can freefly like ten times better. And I want to have the coolest freefly jumps ever at prairie. OK.. I'm off to the gym. Later Alligators! skycat 0 #21 January 15, 2007 Maybe pick a different option from a regular gym and join a rock gym, palates studio or yoga studio. I personally get really bored at a regular gym, but love going to the other options.Fly it like you stole it!

iluvtofly 0 #23 January 15, 2007 My main motivation is the shower. I have zero water pressure at my house. It's an everyday occurance that while in the shower the water will completely shut off for at least 15 minutes. So I'm usually just stuck there with soap in my hair waiting for it to come back on. So, I use the shower at the gym. I started doing this back in October. So far I've lost 20 pounds. Gotta love the motivation a good shower gives.
