diablopilot 2 #1 January 15, 2007 So I am seriously excited by the fact I made my 5000th skydive today, something I would have never imagined 8 years ago. So excited that I thought I might start a goofy thread bragging about it indirectly. Someone thought differently, and I don't even have the satisfaction of knowing who. So for any of you who care, thanks. Otherwise I'll leave the rest of you to discuss which DZ.commer you'd rather eat. I think I'll leave the Bonfire alone for a while.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Are you talking about the post titled "..." with the a single exclamation mark in the body, that was followed up with a bunch of equally pointless posts? That got recycled unsurprisingly (it wasn't me) but I don't think it was personal. Yes, I feel there is sooooo much I haven't done in this sport. I haven't competed in Freefly, never focused on 4 way with the intent of placing at nationals (well I have but it was as camera), I would love to do more CRW, I've put competitive canopy piloting on hold, many many things I still want to do...... The biggest problem is resources. When I had less jumps it was enought to just keep jumping, any type of jumping, now the hard part is focusing in one area, and having the resources to do so. The last year I was competing in Canopy Piloting regularly, I did over 400 hop and pops, but that was too the exclusion of much other jumping and the expense was huge..... 10,000 in 8 more years is very likely if I remain working in the industry as a full time jumpmaster. Much less likely if I look into another career, but jumping will always be a part of my life.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
