hookitt 1 #29 January 17, 2007 Chiropractor. <-- that's my advice. Chances are it has nothing to do with your hands or arms. It's quite possibly in your spine. My right shoulder recently became extremely painful to the point that no position was confortable. There was no strenght left in my arm and pulling my pilot chute was amazingly difficult. The day my right hand started getting numb, I broke down and went to the chiropractor to get my neck fixed up. I started getting relieve after the very first adjustment. A friend of mine had the same thing about a year ago. I suggest a chiro, he went to a sports doc, and aother doc first. One person said he must have a tumor or somehting, let's cut it open to see. I forget what the other one said. The chiropractor had him fixed up pretty quickly. Good luckMy grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... ACMESkydiver 0 #30 January 17, 2007 QuoteChiropractor. <-- that's my advice. I do have one of those...and it is the beginning of the year, so I should be starting all over on the 'allowed' amount at a chiropractor. I'll give him a call next week if I don't get some answers. Tomorrow I have an appointment with an Orthopedist that specializes in upper extremities. He's about 1/2 mile from my house, and it's covered at 100%, so we'll see what he has to say. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. mccurley 1 #32 January 17, 2007 I had a problem with both hands going pins and needles a few years ago. My x-rays showed the tip of the top left hand rib broken off and a compresed cartildge in the neck (long story short, round canopy, strong winds, powerlines, apple tree, and one week in intensive care in 1973) I went to an acupuncturist ( something I never believed in) and after a few treatments it all came right and I've not had the problem sinceWatch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI
ltdiver 3 #33 January 17, 2007 Glad you're going to see an ortho doc. This is definitely nerve in origin. Could be vertebral (as others have stated here). Could also be from the shoulder, or elbow, or hand. There are areas in each of these that can pinch a nerve down. Could be skeletal, inflammed muscle, or angry connective tissue. Any (or all) of these can pinch or inflame a nerve. A good ortho doc can diagnose the proper reason for the symptoms. A chiropractor may be able to help after that. My vote is for physical therapy (go figure Oh, and on the painting...I'd definitely lay off that for awhile. Painters are one of the worst victims of chronic shoulder (nerve) pain. Your physical therapist can explain why (and prevent you from becoming one of them). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
popsjumper 2 #34 January 17, 2007 Chiropractic...a good chiropractor will fix you right up. Forget the blood-thirsty meat carvers. If you gott 100% coverage for a meat cutter, go for it...it can't hurt unless it takes away from your "allowable". Then go to the chiro to get straightened out.My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Frenchy68 0 #35 January 17, 2007 QuoteAnytime I lay down...on either side or my back...my right hand goes numb. All tingly like pins & needles as if I had been laying on it or something. Then it stays numb for about 5-10 minutes after I sit up or walk around. It's been happening for about a week...and I looked on Web MD & Google for info...and can't figure anything out. I'm tired of searching, so i figured some genius here prolly knows what this kind of thing is. And I don't want to go to a doctor, so I'm seeking expert advice from the internet. -Besides, have you seen how hard it is snowing out there right now?! And I have ceilings to paint today! I have no time nor the desire to seek the advice of a professional. So has anyone else had this weird thing happen? What was it? Traditional Chinese Medecine can help you. Whenever your hand goes numb, hit it really hard with a hammer. That should bring some feelings back into your hand in no time.
