You are sooo correct as far as eating healthier goes. I lost both taste and smell four years and don't miss either now. Can even clean up vomit and dog shit without gagging.

I am completely deaf in one ear. I have no sense of "sound direction". The worst thing someone can do is call my name out in public. I just stand there and turn around in circles, trying to figure out who is calling me. Likewise, it's hard to keep up in group conversations, especially if there is alot of background noise. What's even worse, my brain appears to fill in the gaps all by itself, and I find myself sitting thinking, "Did they really just say that?"

I have similar such problem...the other worse thing is when someone walks up to you, on the wrong side, has a full conversation with you...which you dont hear...then they promptly get pissed and walk away from you because you egnored them

Actually, I've gathered data over the years, most recently from my Cora, that my body tends to retain good smells longer than most people. Maybe it's compensation.
