Considering the huge range of stuff that Cisco lumps under the name "Ciscoworks", that question is very vague:http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/index.htm"There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. normiss 898 #3 January 19, 2007 even more so given that they no longer refer to it as Ciscoworks 2000! just Ciscoworks! It is a central management station or server, all those other portions are modules that are activated with license installs. I can't finger out how to confinger SSH!!!! Telnet no problem...I just need to lossen the network security to get the network security management system on-line! Perhaps the non-English speaking support person that has been "helping" for 3 days will stop asking me for version numbers and tell me where the secret config panel is... ryoder 1,590 #4 January 19, 2007 QuotePerhaps the non-English speaking support person that has been "helping" for 3 days will stop asking me for version numbers and tell me where the secret config panel is... A couple months back I opened a TAC case with them and got one of those same (non)support people. After a week of useless advice with days at a time of no contact, I blew my cool, called the main support #, gave them my case#, and told them I wanted a new support person who could solve my problem and was damned tired of having my time wasted. They assigned a new guy to the case who knew the subject inside and out and had my problem solved in less than 24 hours. So my theory is that by default they assign the useless people to cases, and only assign the good people to customers who raise hell. i.e. the squeaky wheel gets the grease."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.
