Slappie 9 #3 January 14, 2007 QuoteSaw it last week.... Good movie but my friend wanted a happier ending.. I really wanted some closure, it was a bit abrupt. Although it fit the flow of the movie. The camera work along with the non-stop scenes were amazing to watch. If not a bit tiresome on the eyes sometimes. The movie flowed at a decent pace and kept you watching and wondering. I got very emotional at the very end... gf said she got goosebumps. Fast 0 #10 January 15, 2007 I thought the workmanship of this movie was great. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be feeling towards the end, but I was feeling a lot of something. My comment to the friends who saw it with me was "That is a lot to wrap your head around." The soundtrack selection and audio work was awesome, seeing this movie outside of a theatre wouldn't really do it justice. The ending was abrupt, but I think they could have gone on forever. It was a good way to have a "clean" break. Go see it if you can handle a good look at the fraility of humanity.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. JohnRich 4 #11 January 15, 2007 Nitpick: When they were in the getaway car on a country road, and were ambushed by rebels... The driver put the car in reverse and sped away backwards. A motorcyclist pursued, aimed a gun at the car, and fired into the windshield. My thought was: you saw that coming several seconds in advance, why didn't you just slam on the brakes and smash that motorcyclist all over the front of your hood? Then a few seconds later, the motorcyclist is now directly beside the backwards-speeding car on the narrow road. The cyclist aims his gun again and fires into the car. My thought was: why didn't you just swerve the car and knock the cyclist off the road? The car driver was an idiot to allow that motorcyclist gunman get away with those free shots. You never give someone free shots at yourself like that, when you can do something about it. Oh, and since when did babies ever remain silent when you needed them to be? Never! But hey, it *was* an excellent movie.

It was all a plan to hijack the pregnant woman, and everyone else in the car. He was in on the ambush. The baby being quiet? I have no clue. But hey, it *was* an excellent movie. SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT READ THIS POST IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE MOVIE UNSPOILED!!!!!!!!!! Your thoughts on the ambush scene are all wrong. The reason he doesnt just slam on the brakes and crush the motorcyclists or swerve to hit them was because the guy driving (black dude) planned the assasination of Julian. He didnt swerve because he knew the motorcycylist (dread lock guy) was gonna shoot and kill her, since he and some other "Fissures" had different plans for the baby.Clive Owens character wasnt the one driving the car during the ambush scene, It was the black guy. At that point in the movie though I thought the same thing "why didnt he just swerve", but later once it was revealed they (black dude and others) planned the ambush to kill her I realized why he didnt try harder to save her. I thought it was a great movie.2 BITS....4 BITS....6 BITS....A DOLLAR!....ALL FOR THE GATORS....STAND UP AND HOLLER!!!!
