Cornholio 0 #7 January 22, 2007 $40/lb for Jamaican Blue is about right. However, IMO, there's only one type of JB that I would pay $40 - Wallenford. I can find it for about $38/lb in some places online - try amazon resellers (or even $28 on ebay buy-it-now auctions.) JB Wallenford is my favorite coffee and we order a pound or two 1-2 times a year and it's definitely worth it. Sometimes my mom picks me up a 5lb bag when she goes to Cayman Islands. And $15/lb for Kona coffee, I'd stay away from. I've tried a lot of Kona coffees and most of the good ones are in the 26-$30 range per pound. It's expensive for a reason. Cheap coffee is just that - cheap and nasty. Personally I like Kona cofee from Bayview or Greenwell Coffee Farms. Yes, I like coffee. I'm drinking a cup of Bayview Kona as I type this. GTAVercetti 0 #9 January 22, 2007 Blue Mountain is always expensive. It only grows in one place in Jamaica. I used to live next door to a girl who's father grew coffee there. So we got some free for a while. Good stuff, but i ain't paying 40 bux for coffee. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. lawrocket 3 #10 January 22, 2007 Quoteit is the one off i-5 and jamboree,,, I often go there with my sister when I am in town (she lives almost walking distance from it). Not any more. 45 bucks for Kona? I can get a pound for $8 at the supermarket. I understand the need to do business, but that level of markup is ridiculous. My wife is hotter than your wife.
