I asked my wife. Why do you skydive???

Funny shit after that!! ;)

But the ? Still stands.

WHY? Do you do it?

Gives me sense of freedom, independence - when I am flying...all of the problems in my life dissipate away:)

I've gone through several phases of why I enjoy skydiving:

At first it was all about adrenalin and addiction to a sport that made me feel so good and supernatural. It was all about how many jumps I could make in a day each weekend and watch the videos, comment on what I did on the jump or what they did on the jump, as well as to attend as many boogies and meet as many jumpers as possible;

next phase was that I wanted to try every discipline within the sport, hit milestones, and have more quality jumps versus quantity and have a noticeable improvement and progression in the sport;

now, I'm in the next phase...my current goals are quality, focused jumps for a specific goal.

It's been an interesting journey....:)

I thought you sold your gear and stopped jumping?

I do it because it's fun:)

You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky)

How's yours doing?

Sold my gear to take a break and focus on my recent career move AND because I needed to downsize my main and my current container only held down to a 170..therefore I needed a new container which would fit the Sabre2 150 and Lightning 143. I will do freefall jumps but for 2007/2008 will spend more of my time focusing on CRW proficiencies.

Skydiving is a stress reliever for me. I feel so free... Free of work, MEN, life, drama...

Damn, I need to jump really fucking soon! :S

because skydiving actualy is a challenge for me. Each time I jump I feel the kind of accomplishment that I have never felt before. A lot of learned things have just come naturally to me. Skydiving I had to work and work hard for it.

First jump was for the challenge of my courage. To see if I could overcome fear.

After that first freefall.... it became a challenge to fly beautifully, to control my body with slight movements, to release EVERYTHING for just one minutes focus on one thing, to RELAX.

And the people! B|
