Bear Down, Chicago Bears.

Bear Down, Chicago Bears.
Put up a fight with a might so fearlessly!

We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation,
With your T formation.

Bear Down, Chicago Bears.
And let them know why you're wearing the crown.

ok,, that was an NFC game and the computer prediction program used by ESPN had you winning.. did you watch both games on sunday without bear goggles.. 4 turnovers for NO, you had 144 yards passing which might win a DIII national championship and were 3/16 on 3rd down.. good luck. let me know how the runner up parade goes.
dont let life pass you by

I'll take more people talking like this about the Bears for the next two weeks. I don't mind and it will motivate them. So bring it on.

Also, everyone had the Saints picked to win. So what if a computer from a tv network? Is that supposed to mean something because it can look at something as just numbers? If you looked at the numbers as most sport writers did, they felt the NO offense wouldn't be stopped by the Bears. So who are you going to believe (even all but one sports columnist from the Chicago Sun Times picked the Saints)?

every expert said the bears didn't stand a chance today, and yet, new orleans got destroyed.

'nuff said.

Well, it was at cold Soldier Field. Don't think the Saints were ready to play in that environment...

Maybe they should nat have practiced indoors all week. They kept saying the cold would not be a factor.

They should have gone to Chicago the day after winning their previous game and practiced outside. It's not exactly cold outside in New Orleans.

No, the Saints weren't ready to play in that environment. Major mistake on the coach's part, I'd say. The Bears practiced outdoors all week.
I did get this feeling of destiny right after the safety, when the snow started coming down even harder. :P The Saints had made a pretty good comeback up until then.

WHAA!

I really don't care. I'm picking the Colts to win. It's Manning's turn after several misses... :P

I LOVE safeties. There's nothing like a safety for rubbing the other teams' collective nose in it, AND you get the ball back.

Getting the win and making our own reporters eat crow has to feel good as well. From today's Sun-Times from Marriotti:

Quote

If the '85 team was an entertainment extravaganza that plundered opponents like few in NFL history, these Bears delight in taking names and making idiots of those who doubt them. I am in that group, of course, having picked the Saints. Such is the modus operandi of Smith, who never loses his cool but does know how to motivate players with negative stimuli. All week, he let them know they were being dissed, which prompted them to watch TV and see it for themselves. It was no coincidence afterward when Adewale Ogunleye mentioned a list of eight ESPN analysts, all of whom had picked against the Bears. In Lovie's world, redemption is a mission.

''We went into the game with the best record in the National Football League, and we didn't really get a lot of respect,'' Smith said. ''Not many people gave us a chance to win this game, but our guys didn't buy into that. They bought into each other and had a lot of faith in each other. And, of course, this is where we end up.''

An ESPN columnist, Gene Wojciechowski, inquired about the satisfaction of quieting critics. ''You were one of them, Gene,'' fired Lovie, flashing a grin that stretched from the podium to Big Sandy, Texas, where the town's lone flashing yellow light could become a red light after the native son made traffic stand still.

Mariotti is a douche...he always seems so anti-Chicago whenever he's on TV. It seems to me like he doesn't like it here.

Now, for the next 2 weeks we'll hear about how the Colts are favored and how the Bears are overmatched -- like the Bears are just invited to Manning's coronation..... and i hope the national media plays it that way -- this team seems to play better when they have something to prove.

Exactly, and then at the game, the Bears will destroy the Colts like they did the Saints, and everybody can lick my ass.
