happythoughts 0 #1 January 24, 2007 I had a thought and I didn't want it to get lost in everything else, so I created a different thread. People tend to read the last 2 posts and miss stuff, so I hope that the Mods give me a little latitude on this. Johnny always said that the reason that there was so much negativity in the world. That we should turn it around. We call each other asshole because the world said it was a negative thing. We flip each other the bird and make it a handshake. We say "f--- the tandems" and they laugh and say "heyyyy... wait a minute", but feel included as one of us. Now, on Saturday, we are going to have a memorial to remember Johnny. Well, dammit, let's do that. Let's remember all the good stuff and share it. What I ask is this: Remember a funny, crazy, or stupid moment that happened with Johnny and share it with others on Saturday. (Some of those descriptions will overlap ) On Saturday, share a good story and a smile. That is probably the underlying theme to his life. That would be the best respect that you could show him. (I would say post it, but I personally could create a thread long enough to lock it and I'm not chewing up Sangiros bandwidth.) Think about it, share it later. Probably 90% of the stories involve bandit base jumps or some sort of nig-noggery. Perhaps to respect the privacy of the other participants (and the statute of limitations), an oral tradition is best.
