You know that game, Hungry, Hungry Hippos?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking they would have been doing the animal kingdom a bit more justice in calling it Hungry, Hungry Sharkos.

I mean, in a pie(or person)-eating contest, could a hippo really pull the kinds of numbers that a great white shark can? My money's on the shark.

On a different note, if the game DID have sharks gobbling marbles, instead of hippos, I can imagine it wouldn't be widely marketable as "Hungry, Hungry Whiteys." :P:D

That's not very nice...fat chicks need loving too.

(Just like fat guys like myself need loving.)

Amen, brother. :D

Fishy, while a hippo may be vicious and nasty, and possibly fast too, I'll bet I could keep myself out of hippo-harm's way easier than a shark's...like never being anywhere where hippos are known to roam wild and steal purses and such. :P

There was a program on Discovery where they made mechanical equivalents of a tiger shark's jaw and a hippo's jaw and tested biting force etc...

IIRC the hippo was capable of doing more damage because of how wide it can open it's mouth but since the shark can maneuver through water so much better it was the winner. Pretty neat show.

That was a great show based on scientific fact and reality.

Discovery Channel has some great shows on it that get you to think, some that are purely entertainment and some that are actually factual. They really don't have any that is all three, even though they have tried.

That doesn't mean that the 4 and 0 aren't worn off my remote, though...(Discovery is channel 40 on my cable).:D

ever tried to race a hippo underwater ? :|

I'm not typically floundering around in hippo-infested waters, unless there's a new saltwater breed of hippos that can remain submerged for days on end that we're not aware of. My guess is, they'd wind up being a new food source for the shark population...you know, those torpedo-shaped, wicked fast garbage men of the world's oceans? :P

Funny you sould mention Hungry Hippos...

Got the game for my young son and told him, "The object of the game is to eat all the marbles you can."

Ready, set, GO!

He reached in with both hands and grabbed marbles...luckily I was able to stop him before he put them in his mouth.

Be careful what you say to youngsters.

:D:D
