weegegirl 2 #1 April 27, 2005 I'm putting a playlist together on my new Ipod for the gym. I've been collecting music from all different people around the office, so I have a funny collection. So far, I've got A.F.I., AC/DC, Bad Religion, Black Eyed Peas.... and I'm moving through the alphabet. What do YOU like to listen to when you work out? I need fast, upbeat, make you wanna run your ass off stuff.
mailin 0 #2 April 27, 2005 Dance Hall by Modest Mouse is my current favorite workout song. I can set the elliptical to 186 rmp and that song keeps me at tempo. Its perfect for that last hill ooh here's some more: Fever for the flava - hot action cop (hillarious song!) Free - Powerman 5000 Come back around - feeder alright alright - sahara hot nights action - blink 182 cold hard bitch - Jet drain the blood - the distillers hey ya - outkast i like the way you move - outkast leave with your own mind - fine arts militia disposable teens - marilyn manson (works for me anyway ) over my head - sum 41 talk to me, dance with me - hot hot heat run to you - rage (the chorus always makes me run my fastest) we used to be friends - the dandy warhols (good for cool down) out of control - hoobastank just a sampling of my 'gym mix'. good stuff JenArianna Frances

SarahC07 0 #4 April 27, 2005 Heh, I've posted a thread about this too... And one dz.commer (I can't remember who, sorry) suggested to me a band called Cauterize. I like the song "Shooting Star"... I'm sure they have lots of other good songs as well. I've found that bringing back to life some oldies that I haven't heard a quite a few years is always something good to run to, even if it's not exactly fast or up tempo. Stuff that keeps my attention works better sometimes... I also like some of Nickelback's stuff.... "Saturday Nights Alright" ... Good luck to ya!!
 BillyVance 35 #5 April 27, 2005 If you like oldies... Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" was damned popular back in the 80's. Believe it or not, I used to play it in the tape deck at full blast in the car on my way to many of my races when I was a long distance runner, just to get fired up. I ran primarily 5Ks and 10Ks, and finished both of my marathons. I like AC/DC though, high energy, rock your ass off music... Anyone up for the scissor-walk ala Angus Young??
