narcimund 0 #1 January 26, 2007 It's that time of year again: the end of the pomegranate season when the entire Vancouver area's groceries send their cases of unsold pomegranates to our local chinese produce outlet for pennies. So in the last two days I've bought -- and juiced -- 40 pomegranatees. I have about a gallon of garnet juice in the fridge and about a quart inside me. Before the end of the weekend I plan to juice another 60 fruits, have several quart bags of frozen juice in the freezer, a small container of pomegranate syrup for persian cooking, and a bottle of real homemade grenadine for cocktails. I love chinatown sometimes! First Class Citizen Twice Over
JohnMitchell 16 #2 January 26, 2007 Chinatown rocks, especially in Vancouver. Wish I could run up and get a big box of those pomegranates.I'd even just like to run up and hang out in your town.

I love chinatown sometimes! Yeah Chinatown in Vancouver is great. Montreal too. You're lucky that up there in Canada you're allowed to buy dragonfruit imported from Vietnam. Here in the States it's banned. I love that shit. One time I bought five dragonfruits in Montreal and tried to bring them back to USA and customs confiscated them. I told the official "bon appetit." I'm sure he had a good meal, and they weren't cheap either - CA$5 each. Be careful with those pomegranates though. Good stuff and very good for you, but if you have too many you might start growing tits. Do a google for pomegranates and phytoestrogens...also the reason why the ancient Greeks used to reference pomegranates as a symbol for infertility. Fa real yo... PS pardon any incoherence in this post, I had a late dinner with lotsa wine Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
