popsjumper 2 #1 January 30, 2007 ...that I was in a flat spin in a D18 and somehow I was laying upside down in the right seat. I looked up and the pilot in the left seat was Grandpa Munster staring at the gauges. I wrapped the seat belt around my arms and held on tight. We were going backwards (tail-first) and I could see the tops of trees going by the windows and knew we we low. I shut my eys and resigned myself to dying. There was a lot of noise and creaking metal sounds and then things got quiet. I sat up and we were taxiing on a road...Grandpa calmly said, "I got it turned around." I woke up. Maybe I shouldn't have eaten so much before I took my pre-bedtime nap. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. flyboyne 1 #3 January 30, 2007 You must not have seen the late Bobby Younkin do his aerobatic routine in a stock Beech 18 that included low level loops and rolls. Very cool!!!

Zing 2 #5 January 30, 2007 The loops and rolls are a piece of a cake in a Twin Beech ... it's those tail slides that are a real bitch, and they are reluctant to recover from an inverted spin with one engine failed.Zing Lurks

popsjumper 2 #7 January 30, 2007 Jim/Walt...can't sneak anything past you guys, eh? But, alas, no. There were no trails involved. You can always tell the difference by the trails following the action. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
