skymama 37 #1 December 29, 2006 We received two big boxes of smoked salmon from the relatives in WA. We'd like to have it at the family New Year's Eve shindig, but don't really know the best way to serve it. Any suggestions? Of course I looked on the internet before asking, but there are thousands of recipes. Vallerina 2 #7 December 29, 2006 At a friend's holiday party, she put 1/2 - 1 tbsp balls of cream cheese on the prongs of clear, plastic forks. She wrapped the smoked salmon around the cream cheese and then stuck the forks in white, styrofoam blocks. She decorated it with white Christmas lights. I love smoked salmon, and I thought they tasted great. For a different party, I made a dip using smoked salmon that also tasted great. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

labrys 0 #11 December 29, 2006 One of my favorite places serves it with toast points and then a very mild horseradish on the side, along with diced eggs, chopped red onion, chopped scallions, and capers. You can mix and match the combinations. It's great.Owned by Remi #?

TrophyHusband 0 #18 December 29, 2006 along with the slices of cheese and various crackers, serve it with slices of tart apples. i'm assuming your relatives caught and smoked their own salmon. if that's the case, enjoy it. you can't buy quality like that.
