adventurechick 0 #1 January 30, 2007 So I just scored a free round trip ticket to anywhere with Southwest. These are the places I've narrowed it down to. I need a place with good transportation, as I am not old enough to rent a car yet, cheap hostels near by (hotels are out of the question), and beautiful scenerey. My ticket expires in May, so I'll be taking this trip the last week of april as a happy finishing the semester to me :o) PMS #449 TPM #80 Muff Brother #3860 SCR #14705 Dirty Sanchez #

adventurechick 0 #8 January 30, 2007 I am, but it's a free plane ticket. I can always tent it, stay in a youth hostel, and bring trail mix! If I go to a place with lots of nature, then I can explore instead of spending money in the city. I'm trying to make this low cost as possible... so a bus/walking/renting a bicycle are my options. I stayed in teepee met these really cool guys who took me around and found a cool hostel in the city one night. What an awesome trip that was! They have an excellent bus system too! mailin 0 #17 January 30, 2007 Boston isn't called the walking city for nothing - everything you could want to see is walking distance and public transportation is FABULOUS and cheap. Food can be found almost anywhere and for cheap - if you go in late April/May you will catch us in a good time of year. Plus, if you can get over to Cambridge on the T you can score a ride with the MIT club out to Jumptown for jumps Can't help with the housing issue as I'm not too familiar with the hostels in the area, but I'm sure there are alot of options. Good luck with whatever you decide. JenArianna Frances
NWFlyer 2 #18 January 30, 2007 As Jen said, Boston will be a lot nicer than the Northwest that time of year. We *might* have nice weather, but we probably won't. Plus you can spend more of your time there than on a plane."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
Amazon 7 #19 January 30, 2007 Come on Krissanne... April/May in Seattle is AWSUM... the mountains are still coverd in many feet of snow... everything is turning a verdant green with all the spring growth... and the rain is usually starting to let up about half the time..the DZ is opening up then... and heck she could take the Cascader (train) from Seattle up to Mt Vernon.
