question about the Boston Celtics basketball team

Recommended Posts

OK, why is it pronounced "SEL-tik"???

people could say it's just uncultured Americans. However, even in America, those music groups that play that mystical Irish music with the harps and the flutes are called "KEL-tik" bands.

(BTw, the Boston Celtics clearly have an Irish theme: a shamrock & green jerseys)

The letter "C" can be pronounced like an S or a K, so who the fuck decided that the basketball team's name was supposed to be pronounced "SEL-tik?"

these are the type of thingz that I wonder about after drink # 6 or so.

I just realized that the Brits on this forum are always about 6+ hours ahead of us on drinking.

and now I hear in Britain they've extended the legal pub hours.

hmmm....

in the areas of Drunk Philosophy, they're going to be way ahead of us.
