GQ_jumper 4 #1 February 3, 2007 I'm so pissed right now, for the last year and a half I have brought my dog to work with me almost every day. If we aren't out of town, in the field, or at the range my dog is in the team room hanging out with me. She's a little border collie mix, really well behaved, has never caused problems, never had an accident and never gotten in anybodys way. She always sat at my feet behaving herself and the rest of my team loves having her around too, I think they were almost as upset as I was about this. And today I get word at the end of the day that the company SGM says we are no longer allowed to bring our dogs to work. I know exactly what prompted this too, there's a few people on other teams that would bring their dogs in every once in a while, and they could never control their dogs, their would be german shepards, pit bulls and rottweilers running around causing trouble, and today one of these dogs shit in a team room. This caused all dogs to get banned, it's bullshit that because some people have disobedient dogs or just don't know how to control them that I have to leave my best friend at home every day now, my dog never leaves my side. I'm so fucking pissed right now just look at the pic, how could you say no to a face like that??History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. GQ_jumper 4 #4 February 3, 2007 I don't hate the guy that brought his dogs in that made the mess, he's a good guy I just think he should have thought a little bit more before bringing a huge german shepard and an oversize husky in that are both too energetic. And he would just let them run around. Plus I didn't like the cmopany SGM to begin with and he really put himself up to the top of the shitlist with this one, don't come between me and my baby, that's just wrong!History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. fonz 0 #5 February 3, 2007 I understand your anger. But realistically, it's generally just not practical to say "this dog is allowed and that dog isn't." Unfortunate and unjustified as it may seem, it sounds to me like a classic case of a bad apple spoiling the whole bunch. GQ_jumper 4 #6 February 3, 2007 Yeah I know that's how it goes, I kind of new it would happen eventually when you couldn't walk down the hallway without tripping over dogs and hearing people yelling at them to come back. I guess I'll have to start spending less time at the office now, I'm always the last one to go home at night and go in almost every day on the weekends because I just like being at work. Or maybe I'll start bringing a parrot with me and walking around with it on my shoulder, one that repeats everything everyone says, and when he bans that, a pet boa constrictor, and then a pet iguana, and they'll just keep on coming until he says I can have my dog back. Or maybe I can just kick him in the nuts, I'm sure nobody would mind, he isn't very well liked to begin with.History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D.
