sundevil777 102 #1 February 8, 2007 I want to prevent my kids from spending about $100 above the suggested retail price. I've tried many local and web retailers. The kids can't wait till the price and availability settle down. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. sundevil777 102 #3 February 8, 2007 Well, they're not hanging out at the store like Cartman. Because they're boys and have money from their paper route burning a hole in their pocket.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. martimarr 0 #4 February 8, 2007 great system!!!! Just ask around your local Best Buy When the next shipment is coming in (most likely Sun) and go hang out about 2.5 to 3 hours before the store opens. Its well worth the wait. Good luck!
willard 0 #5 February 8, 2007 Well, you could tell them that you will pitch in $50 towards it if they wait until you feel the prices have settled in. If they still can't wait let 'em spend it. If they wait they'll save the 100 over retail, plus the 50 you pitch in...that's a good chunk just for waiting a while. If they don't wait they save nothing. Good luck! TomAiello 26 #6 February 8, 2007 What's the MSRP on it? My local Target had some on the shelves the last time I was there. I think they're priced at $250.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

I was in Best Buy with my nephew on the weekend and he pointed them out.'Shell
sundevil777 102 #8 February 8, 2007 The local stores don't have any and say they never know when they'll show up. I think they just don't care, but that is all they ever say. $250 appears to be the basic system, bundles are available, with a couple or more pre-selected games at an inflated price.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. Slowfaller 0 #10 February 8, 2007 calling stores such as gamestop or eb games around 12pm-2pm is about as good as you can do right now. Nintendo can't even keep their handheld DS stocked right now so it isn't likely stores will be getting any soon. Personally I found the Wii to lose it's novelty pretty quickly. Mine has been at my brother's house since Jan 13th and I'm not missing it. Playstation 3, on the other hand, would be a different story. That's a cool but expensive system. --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM
wildblue 7 #11 February 8, 2007 Sears and Target seem to be the place to get them. GTAVercetti 0 #12 February 8, 2007 $250 IS the MSRP. It comes with Wii Sports. The bundles are just people trying to make more money. The guys at the stores get TONS of calls everyday with people asking. They are just as frustrated as you. They maybe get 3 or 4 in a week, if that. I was in the store the other day and the guy got 3 calls and 2 people asked. Your best bet is to get to a gamestop or EB Games either at the beginning or end of the week whenever the delivery guy comes. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. PhreeZone 20 #13 February 8, 2007 DAmn you Seth... I've been saving up for a flat screen but now I see that I could get a Wii within 5 minutes of my house Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
sundevil777 102 #14 February 12, 2007 Mission accomplished! The local Target got 76 of them today, and we didn't have to pay extra. I do like the fact that it is a really different experience than a playstation/Xbox. My guys were getting a workout boxing each other.
