Jumpsuit Colors Funky? :D

Recommended Posts

I ordered a Bevsuit several weeks ago. At first I was thinking red/white/blue to be patriotic the I decided on more of a red/orange (flame inspired?) color scheme.

Either Bevsuit fudged on the colors or I did something really funky. The main color (torso/legs) is red on the front and back and the arm ends are a neon yellowish color. The grips are white with blue borders.

I put the suit on today and I'm thinking "Oh no, I look like a gay superhero and all I'm missing is the underwear outside of my jumpsuit".

Don't have pics at the moment, but do you think I'll look funny? :D lol

Reminds me ofone of our jumpers, years ago. He ordered a new Talon. Rigging Innovations called him to check on 'colors'... he hadn't listed color choices. His response was... "Mix 'em up and make it ugly!" He definately got his wish! That rig was every color Cordura they had!

whats wrong with being a bit eccentric?? When did skydiving become a fashion show ?? At least you'll be able to spot yourself in a big-way photo pretty easily amongst all the generic black jumpsuits. I think it brings another level of fun into the sport . . . go with it !!;)

First of all i would like to agree with Mothergoose in the post after yours. Thats part of the reason i got the suit, well that and it was less than half the price brand new on eBay :D.

Secondly, in reply to your post i would like to say that i think that sounds like a great rig! Maybe when i order my new rig i should send them a pic of my suit and tell them they have Carte Blanche on the design colors of my rig.

Carte Blanche= no boundries/limits :P
Some dream of flying, i live the dream...

My RW is a Bev suit which is purple and blue with yellow grips...I have a red, blackand silver rig. I bought my suit second hand. I just don't care when it comes to what I look like when jumping. I think the nerdier you look, the better. ;)

I don't mean to seem forward here ...but ...jumpchikk .... WILL YOU MARRY ME ??

Yours doesn't look bad at all. Lets just hope mine looks decent to everyone else too.

BTW, how do you guys jump in Toronto anyhow as cold as it is up there? It's cold enough down here in North Carolina :P

If you really don't like the yellow arms (wouldn't be my first choice but then again, I have a hideous freefly jacket that I refuse to wear in public), I'm sure that changing that part of the jumpsuit is one of the less expensive modifications that Bev can make. If you do send it back, consider having inner leg grips added.

Come on, do you really need to ask such a question?? Every American knows that the moment you cross the border, there is a frozen and vast tundra. We live up here in igloos and ride dogsleds to work every morning. Hell we take baths in ice pools on frozen lakes!! You think we can't handle a little winter skydiving ??

Ok, seriously now.... I must admit, winter jumping up here is only for the hardcore. I did a jump last February from 10,5 and it was -15F on the ground (-26C). Our plane thermometers werent functioning but you can imagine how cold it was in freefall. Even with good goggles on with a balaclava, my eyes were watering in freefall under properly sealed goggles. My hands were so cold I couldn't pack for an hour after landing.... It was freaking AMAZING!!!! I love it .... its a different experience, grant you, but a fun one nonetheless. You should come up this year, at least for a hop and pop, those are a piece of cake !!

I don't think I'm ready for that just yet. I might freeze solid in mid air. :P

:oWow your brave! I did a jump the other day where it was 55 on the ground (witch is really cold for someone who grew up in sunny southern california:P). There were ice crystals up at altitude:o (that was a bitch for the first few thousand feet!) and I almost froze when we opened the door to spot. Yes I am a spoiled California girl. 50 degrees! Burr:P

Back on topic I have bright Turquoise free fly suit that I just love. Some say it is a little bright but, I don't care I like it;) I even just ordered a RW suit that is turquoise with black booties, forearms and grippers and silver trim tape. I also ordered a black container with turquoise trim tape and turquoise and silver center paneling.

California ??? How the hell do you jump in that heat ?? Not to mention how the hell do you pack in that heat ??? I can't stand Canadian summers for packing chutes, I couldn't even imagine California or ARIZONA!!:o:o

I can't say anything bad about Canada for jumping. The seasons leave a bit to be desired but its not all that bad to get a winter break because it gives me that time to reconnect with the family and Whuffo friends that I don't get to see for 10 months of the year.:):) It also lets you "miss" skydiving and keeps you wanting.

As for your jumpsuit . . . thats actually quite SHNAZZY. I wouldn't put it in the same category as some of the doozies in this thread. Its not all black though, so at least you still get to stand out.
