Women and shoes

Recommended Posts

Walt, Walt!

Stiletto shoes are just like the PD stiletto.

They're elegant, impressive and sexy, but they can seriously hurt you if you're not careful.

And they do have more malfunctions than the average shoe (think loosened heel, heel stuck, complete loss of balance and so on).

Stiletto injuries include back injury (not natural to carry your body in the way one typically does when wearing stilettoes) foot injury, (I mean, they're pointy at the end and you carry most of your weight on your toe), and we also have the more cataclysmic fall injuries, that include broken bones. This often happends when stilettoes are combined with alcohol.

No, stilettoes are not my thing, I'm a boot girl, and I see no reason to get used to high heels.

Girls who wear them all the time, will tell you that they are unproblematic, and that the advantages outweigh the problems. Then again, some skydivers will tell you that the PD stiletto is a nice and easy canopy.

Women wear them because they look good. Women care about their appearance.

That's the best explanation I've got.
Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet.

I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you?

I don't 'get' them either. The women or the shoes... We're not all the same.

What she said. I don't think I've ever owned shoes with greater than a 2 inch heel, and even then I only wear those when I really need to dress up.

I have never understood shoe torture.

I'm one of those women. I mean, I don't have a lot of shoes, and I don't buy expensive ones . . . but if they're cute and tall, I don't care how mcuh they hurt. :D

I can't really explain why I'm willing to do that. Maybe I'm trying to build up my pain tolerance for the next time I fall down. :D BTW, I would like to mention, I have never sprained my ankle in heels - always in flip-flops or tennis shoes. :D;)

Triple that! I have had issues spraining my ankles with Nike Airs. Can't imagine the damage I would do to myself if I wore those ugly high heel things.

However, I have no issues walking in skates. Maybe I'll start a new shoe company that instead of high "heels", they'll be high "shoes" with a blade like design. If it takes off, maybe I could buy Bob that Otter!
