skyflychris 0 #1 December 2, 2006 Just flew my Pilot 168 for it's maiden voyage today. What a great canopy. Soft opening, rock solid feeling under canopy, easy to fly, but has the balls when you stand on it. Great landing flare too. Not only did I get a great price but they have one great canopy too. I especially like the color coded line attachments for easier pro packing. I would recomend it for the average skydiver. Ordinary's..... just not good enough today. popsjumper 2 #3 December 4, 2006 Karl, Someone just had another issue with Triathlon's line sets (original vs Mod-A) Is Aerodyne going to put something on their website specifying the differnces between the two to ensure that people order the right set and get the right dimensions and layout? If you remember, I spoke with you about this at Palatka. Holy hell...I just checked their website and can't even FIND how to order line sets anymore. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
kaerodyne 0 #4 December 4, 2006 Andy We are currently using the Version 4.0 Trim for all Triathlons, if you order a new line set from us it will be in the 4.0 Version. The 4.0 Update is on the steering line configuration and length. The 4.0 update is not yet available on-line, but I'm making sure that happens. If you need to order a line set or any accessories from Aerodyne, just click on the Store and go to the Accessories drop down (see below) http://www.flyaerodyne.com/fly/accessories.asp Thanks for the ehads-up on this Andy. billvon 3,114 #6 December 4, 2006 >Why are you guys on the forth line set for this canopy? The Triathalon is a very old canopy, relatively speaking. I think they've been around about 12 years now - which means there's been a line trim change every 3 years or so.
proswooper 2 #7 December 5, 2006 Same reason most every canopy manufacturer goes through several adjustment linesets over the period of a canopy designs life. technology improves, the bar gets set higher, feed back from jumpers.
kaerodyne 0 #8 December 5, 2006 "QuoteSame reason most every canopy manufacturer goes through several adjustment linesets over the period of a canopy designs life. technology improves, the bar gets set higher, feed back from jumpers." The Triathlon is a very well know canopy that has been in service for a few years, and as we all learn from technology and those who jump and test jump our canopies, certain adjustments are made. These are not done (well in many cases) to correct a flaw in design, but rather to improve the over all performance of the canopy, and this in turn is beneficial to the jumpers who jump these canopies.
