sundevil777 102 #26 February 14, 2007 Do you need it for the brakes to work at all? Many components of an ABS system can fail where you will then be left with a car that just doesn't have an ABS system. What exactly is the "unit" that you need. I doubt it is the wheel speed sensor, is it the vacuum pump, the electronics?People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

Muenkel 0 #30 February 14, 2007 Definitely find that ABS part! You certainly don't want to total a '90 Olds Cutlass...even though it is worth less than your deductible probably is. Chris _________________________________________ Chris

Abs Speed Sensor Raybestos PG Plus (ABS530380) We can't pinpoint what the problem is other than every time the brakes are used it blows the fuse for the ABS.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

I'm told there is a service bulletin about that issue. Contact GM about your problem. www.FourWheelerHB.com

downwardspiral 0 #36 February 14, 2007 I run an offroad shop in "the OC." My expertise is mainly jeeps. Turtle just got lucky because I happen to mention his problem (in passing) to a friend of the company that has a photographic memory and reads "Motor Age" religiously. I would love to be able to give advice about cars but liability can play an issue so I can not trouble shoot problems unless I have the vehicle and can reproduce the problem. My best advice is to ask one of your guy friends, who has decent knowledge of cars, which mechanic they trust and use. Oh and never go to a dealer without an extra large jar of vaseline. www.FourWheelerHB.com
sunshine 2 #37 February 14, 2007 My car is still under warranty. I was just curious if GM ever put out a service bulletin for a specific problem on Cobalts. I read about an SB on the net, but yet my chevy dealer had never heard of the SB so im curious if there really is an SB or not. My car has been fixed, but it took 'em 5 tries to finally fix it. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
