warpedskydiver 0 #1 February 15, 2007 Wow what a company, I got screwed around royally today by two electrical supply houses and wasn't able to be helped by a third. I was pissed that I was either going to be shaken down for quite a bit of cash for a cheap part or have to wait a week to get my house heat going. I then called McMasters-Carr, I found that I ordered over the website, and and getting delivery TODAY!, for a normal shipping fee of five dollars!!!! WOW, they deserve more business, they earn it! sundevil777 102 #2 February 15, 2007 Sorta like Grainger, eh? http://www.mcmaster.com/People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

kbordson 8 #6 February 15, 2007 I like their catalog.... it's fun to just flip through it and find cool things that I never even knew existed. (and its so organized that it makes me smile)
 fallinbear 0 #7 February 15, 2007 QuoteWow what a company, I got screwed around royally today by two electrical supply houses and wasn't able to be helped by a third. Yeah...they really kick arse. Pricing is a hell of a LOT better than grainger and everything is shipped next-day! They've saved my (and my collective company's) ass many times!!I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you... I found a company that has a much more limited selection of products but actually was much cheaper than MMC on most things - smallparts.com- worth a look
 mattmais 0 #9 February 16, 2007 When I worked at "Tug" in Marietta, GA.... id order before noon and recieive it at around 3 or 4! I order stuff from within our own facility and it takes no less than a week. He was at my house a mere 3hrs after I called.
 fallinbear 0 #12 February 16, 2007 Thanks much!! BTW, if you ever need anything they do not sell in quantity, ask them to get it for you. They WILL!, And... give you good discounts for larger quantities too. I've been using them for years.I have never developed indigestion from eating my words.
