IanHarrop 43 #26 February 18, 2007 The good doc just admitted that if it's not down there she doesn't care so don't trust her advice about your injury. It's LEPROSY just like I said back at the beginning of this thread. Now to continue the doc's hijack by talking about her surgery, watching you're own surgery is great. I've had my knee operated on twice and my hand once. I was able to watch all three surgeries by insisting on a local. The first surgery on the knee was done with some sort of local that didn't incapacitate me for hours like the spinal did, the spinal truly amazing. You can't feel anything. Guys take it from me, your junk will be fine and just cause there's no feeling in it at all, PLEASE don't squeeze anything to check it out while the spinal is in place. If you do, after the the spinal wears off you'll find out how hard you squeezed. The hand was done with a Beer (sp?) Block at a teaching hospital, those young docs were having fun being able to talk to me during the operation and tell me what they were doing. The knee operations were great because I got to ask questions of the surgeon. Being able to see and talk to the doc during a surgery is great and I recommend it to all. And doc, sorry to hear that your ortho guy wasn't happy with your knee. kbordson 8 #27 February 18, 2007 Thank you!!! And if I could examine said thumb sucking injury... I would concur with leprosy. Back to the hijack.... It was a very cool surgery. Lots of pictures. ACL completely shot - replaced with a cadaveric ligament (drills and hammers and really weird stuff to feel). Lateral meniscus - tears in perpindicular directions - so that was removed. Medial one - three long worked for stitches to support it. and a bit of clean up work. I have a feeling that had I been alseep, he may have opened my knee. So, I'm glad that it was arthroscopic. He was expedting it to be under an hour.... two hours later, the spinal was starting to wear off. But... they got it all done. I did kinda like it though when they tried to get ready to move me across to the gurney and I said "I can do that" *laughter* "no really" and I did. Andy_Copland 0 #28 February 18, 2007 Reminds me of a story about my arse. I just had a ton of stitching on my rear end and the Dr wanted to see how she was healing. Cue young attractive Asian student Dr "Do you mind if i watch?" Shes hot i dont care about being semi naked in front of her! But then the rest joined in and because i said yes to one i didnt wanna seem rude and say no. So theres me yanking my pants down to lay on a bed with a ton of students looking at my rear. And we all know how Dr's dont have time to fuck around so it wasnt all casually expose the bum. It was Jeans off, boxers down and lay on your front. I put my head in the pillow and just smiled at my misfortune while turning a brand new shade of red.1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. There was no way in hell I could have moved after the spinal. I was incapacited like nobody's business. Had the surgery at about 6 pm and it was after 2 am before I could was solid enough to leave the hospital. ACMESkydiver 0 #30 February 18, 2007 QuoteMy ortho guy was NOT happy with what he found in there. K, methinks it is better to have an ortho saying this about an OB/Gyn, than an OB/Gyn saying this about an ortho...: ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
