Twoply 0 #1 February 20, 2007 As a carpenter working for a demolition outfit, I get to do some really cool jobs. I've been there for 14 years and anymore they are few and far between. The last interesting thing I got to do was layout the back half of a building to cut all the structure and mechancal for a large addition. But mostly it's just mundane boring handrails and scaffolding. I really want to leave and go work for a locksmith or move over into larger scale supervision. I like the company I'm with and they treat me very well, it's just the job that's no longer stimulating. And I'm getting sick of working with convicts and ignorant people. I'm wondering if everyone else in the working world gets bored with work or is it time to move on? I'm wondering if this is the way it is with everyone? Are there ignorant people in every working field or is it just in construction? Something interesting every now and then and then periods of boredom? I'm thinking so just need to hear it I guess. I've decided to try to let work be work and let it just finance my jumping but it still kind of kills me to let 8 hours of my day go and not feel as though I'm supposed to be doing something better.
