BillyVance 35 #51 February 19, 2007 QuoteWay more important, the commercials on the 500 were way better than the Super Bowl! You got that right dude! I liked the one where Elliot Sadler started to give Jimmy Johnson some advice and he gets on his phone "I need it again" and his staffer brings out last years Nextel Cup championship trophy, then tells Elliot "I'm sorry, you were saying...." steelyeye 0 #52 February 19, 2007 I really liked the "retirement home" commercial and the "magic" commercial. "Better a has-been than a never-was. Better a never-was than a never-tried-to-be..."
hollyhjb 0 #53 February 19, 2007 Well, my mother has a cardboard standup (the kind they have at stores for advertising) of Tony Stewart, and her friend has one of Jeff Gordon. So my mom bet her Tony if Gordon finished before Stewart, and her friend matched the bet with his Gordon... Well, Stewart finished last, so my mom now has two of these creepy standup things. She told me that they are now making out in her hallway."I reject your reality and substitute my own" ~Adam Savage
simplyputsi 0 #54 February 19, 2007 QuoteI voted who cares, because I really don't. But, never ever count Mark Martin out. That son bitch can drive. i know this thread is dead, but I just had to bring it back up. Unbelieveable!! I must have jinxed mark. Everytime I watch a race and he is doing well he loses. I thought he had it there for a second, I really did.Skymama's #2 stalker -

Muenkel 0 #56 February 20, 2007 I watched every minute of the race. This was the first time I have ever watched a NASCAR event. I'm from the Northeast and we pretty much considered NASCAR to be white trash...sorry if that offends anyone. Anyway, I freakin loved every minute of it! The commercials too! I don't know what is happening to me but I have been listening to country music for the past several months and loving that. I considered country music white trash also. Now, I'm hooked on NASCAR! What has happened to me? I know, I've become white trash and I love it! Trailer park, here I come! willard 0 #58 February 20, 2007 It's called "normalization". Good hard racing to the end, no other way to have it! Mark sure looked like he was going to take that trophy home but damn if Harvick didn't get a heck of a run on him. Mark would not want the race to end anywhere else but at the finish line. I wish he'd won, though. For a while it looked like Gilliland (sp?) might pull it off. He'll win it someday, put money on it.
