eeneR 3 #3 February 16, 2007 I cant pick an answer... My dogs...who would probably piss on the carpet!! and rightfully so They can go about 14 hours if the have to, but I don't generally like to do that. I don't think I could hold it that long But really life gets busy, and it is very common for me not to talk to people for a few days, other then seeing co-workers.She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto
NWFlyer 2 #4 February 16, 2007 Haven't watched Grey's yet, but that would depend ... A 12 hour period during the week? Someone from work would probably pick up on it, or at least be mightily pissed at me because I wasn't answering emails or phone calls. A 12 hour period on the weekend? If I had no definite plans to meet anyone, I suppose it could go all weekend, though there's people I talk to every day or every other day who might wonder why I wasn't answering my phone or returning calls... but it might take a day or two before they'd really worry. Edit to add, of course dropzone.com would wonder WTF I was doing. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. Icon134 0 #9 February 16, 2007 the problem with this poll is that it equates being noticed that someone is not alive in a relative short period of time (12 hours isn't very long) with importance. but a prisoner on death row is likely to be noticed in a short period of time but I wouldn't consider some of them to be "important" per se. of course that's just my humble, unimportant opinion... Lindsey 0 #11 February 16, 2007 I guess it would depend on which 12 hours it was. Between 7am and 7pm....a bunch. Between, say 6pm and 6am, my young'un and his babysitter....maybe my son's friends (depending on the day). (big maybe) my dad and step-mom.-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. No .... I don't mean the "15 min of fame" type notice. I meant the pain of loss.... the knowledge that life will forever be less that it was/could have been.... truly being MISSED. Whether it is 12 -24-72 hours.... the poll is about the people that are so close that your seperation would be felt deep....

Mockingbird 0 #15 February 16, 2007 Between now (10 pm) and 10 am tomorrow? No one but my dogs! hollyhjb 0 #16 February 16, 2007 i was thinking about that during the episode! i know for a fact that if I didn't show up for work everyone I work with would be very worried about me. livendive 8 #17 February 16, 2007 Quote If you went missing and/or died, how many people would miss you in a 12 hour period? Do you mean miss me as in they know I'm dead/missing and that knowledge pains them? Or miss me as in notice they haven't seen or heard from me in 12 hours? SarahC07 0 #23 February 16, 2007 Kinda depends on the defintion of missing... Since I just moved to a new town less than 2 months ago AND started a new job AND I live alone, my co-workers are the only ones who would miss me. And they'd 'miss' me because I didn't show up... However, one girl who hates it when I'm not there... because we are the only 2 girls in the office under the age of 36 (21 and 24 respectfully), would call me about 8:45 am wondering where I was/if I'm coming into work. On and I guess my boyfriend would notice that I stopped answering my cell phone, since we talk about 3 times a day.

wildcard451 0 #25 February 16, 2007 It all depends on if I am supposed to be answering pages during that time. Well, because then I would be missed in about 15 minutes. (Had it happen before, and now I know that the operator has my home and cell numbers, and I have no idea how) Some people would miss me overnight, and def would notice when I wasn't at work. However, sadly enough, my family can go for over a week without hearing from me before they call to say "Hey, where the hell have you been?". That's not cause they don't love me, just cause they know I am not a big one for daily communication.
