selbbub78 0 #6 February 23, 2007 yes, because then you can play the "i'm really 'sick' card, but i'm a dedicated employee so i came in"... I'm sure they'd send you home, but since you were so dedicated next time you play hookie from work because of nice weather and the sky is calling you no one will question it CReW Skies, bubbles"Women fake orgasms - men fake whole relationships" – Sharon Stone "The world is my dropzone" (wise crewdog quote) "The light dims, until full darkness pierces into the world."-KDM

Lastchance 0 #8 February 23, 2007 Self induced. Your fault. You knew better. No sympathy. You should be at work suffering. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

sharimcm 0 #10 February 23, 2007 The last time I came in while hung over, I really didn't get passed the 'being drunk' stage. I dropped my boss off at the airport, LOOKED at the McDonald's sign, puked my brains out, went to work, and I left after about an hour. BillyVance 35 #12 February 24, 2007 QuoteI have never gone to work hungover.... I came close one time. I drank a whole 6 pack of beer one work-weeknight. Then the next morning at work I got a notice that I had been chosen at random to go to medical for a piss test, and I had a headache. Fuck... Guess I passed somehow... NWFlyer 2 #13 February 24, 2007 Hey, at least you didn't pull what my coworker pulled Wednesday night ... got so hammered that he wound up passed out in a ditch. Picked up by the cops (who were called because someone saw him and thought maybe there'd been an assault), and ended up in the ICU until the following evening getting his alcohol-poisoned ass detoxed. Oh, and this was while on a business trip to a client site ... so not only does everyone he works with know, the client now knows because of course he didn't show up for work the next day but eventually calls from the ICU. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
