eeneR 3 #1 February 24, 2007 Ok, um we all knew that things were going to end up the way they did. But something seemed not right to me. Maybe the way things were handled, I dunno. I totally understand that Mom Grey's comments are what made her wanna give up...and I understand that had to be cleared up. tigra 0 #2 February 24, 2007 I hear ya! It was a little off. First of all, I just don't see McDreamy yelling at Mama Grey like he did, especially since she's no longer lucid. It was totally out of character for him (grief stricken or not) and leaves you wondering if the outcome would have been the same if he hadn't. Will he tell Meredith? And how will she react? Can't they just be happy together for 5 minutes with no drama?
grue 1 #3 February 24, 2007 I thought it was a shitty episode, to be frank. I really, really, really wanted them to kill off Merideth. Of course I'd rather have 'em kill off Yang, but if they did both at the same time, I'd cheer out loud.cavete terrae.
iluvtofly 0 #4 February 24, 2007 I personally loved the episode. The only thing that bothered me was...is it actually possible for someone to be down that long and suffer NO brain damage? It was bad though cause at the end I couldn't stop crying because I felt bad for Denny.
eeneR 3 #5 February 24, 2007 Quotes it actually possible for someone to be down that long and suffer NO brain damage That I don't know, I would think not. And couple that with the fact the way they showed it, she was up and "alive" with in a few min of getting a heart beat...and talking. Just seems all wrong. You dont almost just die like that, then suddenly are sitting in a bed ok? Sigh. I did like how they handled some of the other characters, especially Denny, the cop dude and the other dead people. They are normally much better with the way things are handled, this time they just left me feeling blah. She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto
kbordson 8 #6 February 24, 2007 I understood what they were trying to show (mirror to merideth that she WAS suicidal. which she was in denial about for how many episodes now... ). I understand why she was so depressed (relationship isssues, disappointment issues, self doubt....) I understand how she just wanted to break away from all that.... But they took a VERY complex psychological condition and, in the course of 60min, ended it all smiles and rainbows. The made it too simple, too superficial, too easily treated (not that drowning and near death is an easy treatment option). That's what I was disappointed in. The didn't give the HEALING the respectful time that it takes. (but.... we all knew she wasn't REALLY going to die)

It was bad though cause at the end I couldn't stop crying because I felt bad for Denny. I've heard of cases where people have been hypothermic and "dead" for 40 minutes and been revived. There have been cases where people have been as cold as 73.4 F and cases where people have recovered in as little as 2 days. Not all at the same time, but in all of those cases the victim recoverered fully. It seems to help a lot to get cold first, then drown.

I maintain she and yang should have died and been replaced with less annoying and more attractive characters.cavete terrae.
TrophyHusband 0 #10 February 24, 2007 the show is just really starting to suck all around. I'm having a very hard time suspending disbelief. apparently not only are the characters the only fucking doctors in the hospital, they are also seattle's emergency response team. the stupidity is getting out of hand. BillyVance 35 #11 February 24, 2007 QuoteQuotes it actually possible for someone to be down that long and suffer NO brain damage I have heard of incidents where people were rescued from being underwater for as long as 10 minutes in very cold water and resuscitated and recovered with very little or no brain damage. If it's warm water, you're fucked. Bailey is really the only character I appreciate on that show anymore. It's kinda sad.
